On March 26, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with a provincial working delegation, conducted an inspection to assess the implementation of several hydropower projects in Kon Plong District.
The delegation included Mr. Nguyen Huu Thap, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and leaders from relevant departments and agencies.
On behalf of Kon Plong District, Mr. Dang Quang Ha, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People’s Committee, together with representatives of several related departments, participated in the visit.
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Pham Van Minh – General Director of VCP Construction and Energy Joint Stock Company, and Mr. Bui Khac Hieu – Director of the Management Board of Dak Lo 1, Dak Lo 3, and Dak Lo 4 projects.
The Deputy Secretary and the delegation directly surveyed the implementation and construction progress of the Dak Lo 1, Dak Lo 3, and Dak Lo 4 hydropower projects in Ngọk Tem Commune. To date, construction has commenced on Dak Lo 1 and Dak Lo 3 projects, while the Dak Lo 4 project is finalizing necessary procedures and is expected to begin construction in 2025.
At the working session, the investors – Dak Lô 1-3 Hydropower Co., Ltd. and Dak Lô 4 Hydropower Co., Ltd. – requested that authorities and competent agencies address several difficulties related to timber and construction material harvesting, land clearance, and land use rights certification procedures, in order to facilitate project implementation.
The Deputy Secretary requested that the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment, and relevant units coordinate with the Kon Plông District People’s Committee to study and promptly resolve obstacles faced by the investors, ensuring favorable conditions for construction of the Dak Lo 1, Dak Lo 3, and Dak Lo 4 hydropower projects.
He also urged the investors to continue mobilizing resources and overcoming difficulties to ensure timely progress for Dak Lo 1 and Dak Lo 3, and to promptly begin construction of Dak Lo 4. The goal is to disburse VND 350–400 billion in 2025, thereby contributing to attracting investment capital into the province and promoting local socio-economic development.
